We are looking to add a new receptionists to our existing friendly, hardworking team.
The successful candidates will be expected to work across both sites. This is for a part time position, working the below pattern 16 hours per week -
Monday 11 - 4pm at our Woodlands Site
Wednesday 8am - 1pm at our Chislehurst site
Friday 8am - 2pm at our Chislehurst site

The Chislehurst Partnership is a friendly high achieving suburban partnership in the London Borough of Bromley with a countryside feel. Currently operating from two sites (The Chislehurst Medical Practice & The Woodlands Practice) there are 10 partners, with 5 salaried doctors and full complement of nurses including ANP and HCA.
This role is varied and covers all aspects of general practice reception. The ideal candidate must be a team player able to adapt to changing work practices and be flexible to cover sickness and holidays. The ideal candidate must have attention to detail as accuracy is a key requirement of the role. You must also have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
You will join an existing friendly team and provide excellent customer service. You will recognise the importance of patient services and value every patient and their needs. You will work in a team and be committed to working together with the whole practice to achieve desired outcomes.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include :
- receiving patients and visitors in person or via telephone
- management of online consultations (Econsult)
- dealing with all patient appointments and queries
- actively signposting patients to correct services if appropriate
- actioning daily tasks on EMIS and DOCMAN systems
- checking clinicians' rooms at the end of surgery, collecting specimens and supporting clinicians to do their role
- providing cover for colleagues during sickness and holidays
- opening and actioning post
- liaising with the prescribing team
- anything else that is custom and practice to enable the smooth running of the Practice
Chislehurst Medical Practice is part of the newly formed Chislehurst Partnership created in July 2022 with the merger of The Woodlands Practice and Chislehurst Medical Practice. Both are high performing, well established GP practices in Chislehurst who are passionate about providing a friendly, supportive and caring medical service to our population. The Practices hope to move to a purpose-built medical centre in the future but for the time being are operating from two premises.
We have a combined patient list size of circa 25,000. We are a 10 Partner partnership with a team of Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a Nursing team. Our staff are friendly and hard-working and together we provide a high level of care to the local community. We are a well organised, progressive, forward-thinking Partnership. We are part of the Mottingham, Downham & Chislehurst (MDC) Primary Care Network and share across our practices a wide range of additional roles including, Clinical pharmacists, Physicians associates, Social Prescribers, a Mental Health Practitioner and Paramedic.
