Join Our Ocean Freight Team as a Pricing Specialist!
We are currently seeking a Pricing Specialist to join our dynamic Ocean Freight team. In this role, you will be part of the Ocean Pricing team, responsible for all UK & IE pricing and quoting enquiries, ensuring accurate and competitive offerings using the E-Quote Software. Location: Hybrid working between home and Basildon office (2 days per week)
What Will You Be Doing?
As our Pricing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in handling pricing and quoting activities, ensuring smooth operations and competitive offerings. Your key responsibilities will include:
Accurate Rate Filing: Ensuring all Ocean quotes and rates are filed correctly into E-Quote & RCM for easy access by OPS and availability in Tango.- Rate Procurement and Negotiation: Procuring and negotiating rate agreements for spot rates and short-term validities.
- Charges Coordination: Obtaining ex-works/local charges from the origin and domestic/local charges from UK carriers and third-party sources.
- Pricing Tool Maintenance: Updating segmentation/pricing tool rates to ensure competitiveness.
- Statistical Reporting: Regularly following up segmentation tool stats and providing timely feedback updates.
- Carrier Deal Filing: Managing UK carrier deals and filing them in RCM (Rate Contract Management).
- Comprehensive Carrier Information: Maintaining all Trades carriers' landsides, THC, free times, etc.
- Feedback Management: Obtaining and updating feedback into E-quote promptly to enhance our offerings.
- Customer Service Collaboration: Collaborating with Customer Service teams to maintain clients' rates in a timely manner and logging them into RCM for access in Tango.
- Timely and Accurate Quoting: Using the E-quote software to ensure all quotations are current, timely, and up to-date for existing clients.
About You
Pricing Experience: Previous pricing or commercial experience would be advantageous- Ocean Freight Experience: Previous experience and knowledge of Ocean freight is preferred
- Detail-Oriented: Your top-level organisational skills and attention to detail set you apart.
