Salary Range: BG8 £24,948 - £26,845 FTE (Actual £22,296 - £23,991)

Bridge Learning Campus is looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to expand our pastoral team. You will be joining an experienced and dedicated team who are working collaboratively to improve the outcomes of the young people of our community.

In this role, you will build lasting and purposeful relationships with young people and their families, removing barriers to regular school attendance, helping them to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate, patience, excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to connect with young people and to partner with external agencies. You will be able to draw on a range strategies to modify behaviours and will have a genuine and principled interest and belief that all students can achieve. You will need to be empathetic and resilient but have a firm but fair approach, which in turn will provide you with job satisfaction, knowing that your graft has made a difference.

Bridge Learning Campus is a rapidly improving, growing all-through school with a three-year trend of improved outcomes where 3-16 year olds grow into confident young adults. We are a member of Trust in Learning (Academies) and take a research-led approach to long-term, sustainable strategies – not ‘quick fixes’.

Fluency Duty

The ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users of the service and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
