We are currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join DB Cargo UK working on a major UK national rail infrastructure project, the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) which is being implemented nationwide.
The European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) is being developed and introduced to enhance cross-border interoperability throughout Europe by creating a single standard for railway signalling. A continuous communication-based signalling system, ERTMS is linked digitally to the European Train Control System (ETCS) an automatic control system. ETCS brings in the digitalisation of an in the cab-signalling system, improving cost efficiency, increased safety and a reduction in overall resources, not only bringing benefits to our customers but meeting the global need to reduce greenhouse emissions with a greater reduction in our overall carbon footprint.
As the ERTMS programme plan continues to evolve and progress there is an increasing demand for maintaining, controlling and change control of project documents. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating team meetings, updating on deadlines and plans and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed.
Other areas you will be responsible for will include:
Support the Project Planner in the creation, alignment, and ongoing tracking of project plans and supporting project documents including updating of plans with key stakeholders.
Ensure project documentation is up to date and accessible to the project team
Ownership and administration of key DB Cargo ERTMS project documents such as: Outstanding Actions Log, Risk Register, Assumptions, Issue Log and Change Log (including variation orders) and the Vehicle Fitment List
Support the Project Accountant in the collation, submission (to Network Rail) and processing of ERTMS periodic recharges, including liaison with sub-contractors/consultants
Arrange staff release plans for key stakeholders within the business to support ETRMS delivery
Raise purchase requisitions using SAP and liaise with procurement to expedite order through to system, ensuring invoices are allocated accordingly to the relevant approver
Support in the coordination of HAZID workshops and Process developments with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment to the Business Change activities (Deep Dive)
Support the Business Change Manager in the Business Readiness Implementation Notice (BRIN) internal process, including logging, controlling and dissemination of the BRIN’s
Liaising with DB Cargo legal team in support of general contract information to support the programme including arrangement of NDA between DBC and suppliers
We are looking for a candidate who have experience in working on large scale technical projects and can evidence working with a wide range of stakeholders across different seniority levels and teams.
We are also looking for candidates who are IT Proficient and have previous experience with SAP. Having the qualification PRINCE2 will be beneficial for the role.
Good organisational skills, with an ability to manager own workload and prioritise work in a pressurised environment and meet deadlines.
