Production Operator


 

Your Tasks

  • Undertake a comprehensive training programme to be able to run every aspect of the department.
  • Operate as a member of the production team and ensure that the department is maintained in a clean, tidy and organised condition.
  • Complete shift reports as required and to carry out appropriate shift handovers including any specific production relevant information.
  • To ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents, accidents or hazards are duly reported.
  • Liaise with the Shift Leader and relevant engineering department as to the condition of the equipment or production problems.

Our Requirements

  • Operate a Fork Lift Truck, however training can be provided.
  • Attend a one day Health & Safety course.
  • Basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Reasonable standard of secondary education.
  • Good communication and team work skills.
  • Able to work 12 hour shifts, days and nights (4 on/4 off).
  • Able to provide holiday and absence cover, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £15.47 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 42 per week

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cumnock: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
